Week of October 28th

I apologize for the late post this week. Many of you may know my family was in a car accident on Saturday night. Today is my first day back to school and I have taken time to talk to the kids and assure them that we are okay.
I have gotten behind on grading and I will work this week to get caught up.

Monday: Problem 2.3
    HW: pg. 30 #27-37 & pg. 35 #69 due Wednesday

Tuesday: Problem 2.4

Wednesday: Problem 3.1
    HW: Volume Worksheet CC-42 due Friday (many students finished this assignment on Tuesday)

Thursday: Problem 3.1/3.2

Friday: Problem 3.2
    HW: Square Root Practice CC-50 due Monday

Week of October 21st

This is a short week because of Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences. Mrs. Jennings sent an email to sign up for conferences during the following times: Tues, Oct. 22 4-8pm and Thurs, Oct. 24 9am-6pm. If you haven't signed up yet, please take a moment to do that. I would love to see you there.

Monday: Finish Problem 2.2 and begin 2.3
    Homework: LFP pg. 30 #14-26 due Wednesday

Tuesday: Finish Problem 2.3
    Conferences: 4-8pm

Wednesday: Bellwork Quiz and Investigation 1&2 Quiz
    Homework: Square Root Worksheet CC-47 due Monday

Thursday: Conferences 9am-6pm

Friday: No School

Week of October 14th

I think the students are enjoying Looking For Pythagoras. It's very different from our last book! This week we are working on Investigation 2. We only have 2 homework assignments this week due to our short school week.

Monday: Problem 2.1
    Homework: Square Root Practice Worksheet CC-48 due Wednesday

Tuesday: Problem 2.1/2.2

Wednesday: Problem 2.2/2.3
    Homework: Real number system 6-5 due Monday

Thursday: Problem 2.3

Friday: No school

Looking Ahead:
 I expect the students to be ready for a quiz over Investigations 1 &2 next week, possibly Tuesday or Wednesday.
Next week we have school Monday - Wednesday. Middle school conferences are scheduled for Tues, Oct 22nd 4-8pm and Thurs, Oct 24 from 9am-6pm. I hope to see you there!

Week of October 7th

We took the unit test on Friday for Moving Straight Ahead and I was very pleased with how most students did on the test. I am collecting the books (blue) today and we are checking out new books from the library. Our new unit is called Looking for Pythagoras, all about the Pythagorean Theorem!

Tuesday: LFP Problem 1.1/1.2

Wednesday: LFP Problem 1.2/1.3
    Homework: Worksheet - Real Number System (8.3) practice due Friday

Thursday: LFP Problem 1.3/2.1

Friday: LFP Problem 2.1
    Homework: Worksheet of pg. 16 15-25 due Monday (I am giving them a copy so they can write on it to find the area).
