We are quickly working our way through Say It With Symbols. Tomorrow we will have a quiz over Investigations 2 & 3.

Week of April 7th

Our testing did not work out last week and has been postponed until April 29th and 30th. If this changes I will let you know. We are continuing our book Say It With Symbols this week.

    HW: Volume Practice (Kuta) due Wednesday - we went over these in class and the formulas are on their bellwork. If they forget to bring home the bellwork, I have told them it is okay to find the formulas online.

Update to Week of March 31st

The state continues to have problems with the testing software and it looks like we will not take our state assessments on Thursday and Friday. Please keep in mind this may change again tomorrow, but I plan for us to continue working on Investigation 2 in our book.
Here are the changes:

    HW: Equation Practice DD-38 is now due Friday.

Thursday: Continue Problem 2.2

Friday: Volume Activity
    HW: pg. 39 #17-20 due Monday (this is added).

Week of March 31st

Update to Week of February 3rd

I have adjusted homework and classwork after our snow days. I have told students today that the homework assignment from Monday, pg. 18 #14 and the homework from Wednesday, Scientific Notation Practice are now due on Monday. I didn't feel it was fair for them to be due today when students did not have the opportunity to ask questions.
I shifted today's homework assignment, pg. 19 #15 to Monday and it is now due on Wednesday.

We are quickly finishing Thinking With Mathematical Models. Our unit test will be Monday, January 27th. I let the kids know on Friday that any missing work/corrections from this semester/this unit are due by Friday, January 24th @ 3:45pm. The study guide will be handed out on Tuesday, January 21st. This needs to be completed for review (what I call a "rough" draft copy) on Friday, January 24th and turned in with the test on the 27th.

Update for today

Students are struggling with the homework that is due today - pg.49 #14-19. We are working similar problems in class today and I have extended the due date for this assignment to Monday. The equation practice I am assigning today will still be due on Monday.

The kids are excited that there are only 10 school days left until break! This week we will have a quiz over Investigations 1&2. This will be our last quiz for the semester. We will not finish the unit before we end the semester. All missing work/corrections from this unit will be due by Wednesday, December 18th so that I can submit semester grades.
