Week of February 25th

 I hope everyone enjoyed our snow days on Thursday and Friday! It will be interesting to see if we have any more snow days this week!
The plan this week is to review on Monday and Tuesday and take the state assessment on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
We may have to keep our original testing days of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. If this is the case we will start a new book on Friday called Growing, Growing, Growing and students will have homework over scientific notation due Monday, March 4th. Otherwise, there is no homework this week.
Please encourage your child to get enough sleep and eat well this week. I do believe this helps them be prepared for testing.

Week of February 18th

I'm sorry for the delay with this post, I had some computer issues and I could not log in to the blog. This week we are practicing skills for the state assessment next week. It is scheduled for February 26, 27, and 28. I did give students homework for today and Thursday just in case we have a snow day or two!

Week of February 11th

We started a mini-unit on probability that we will finish this week. Over the next two weeks we will work on 8th grade skills in preparation for the state assessment the week of February 25th. Homework will provide additional practice of those skills.

Friday: Half day schedule with Fine Arts Fair in the afternoon - go over goals for state assessment

Week of February 4th

We have finished our unit Looking For Pythagoras. Any corrections/missing work from this unit are due by Friday, February 8th.
 After the unit test we will begin preparing for the state assessments. 8th grade math will test the week of February 25th.
